This is where ore from the mine was
cleaned and concentrated ready for smelting. A partly filled water wheel
pit marks the site of a water powered ore crusher. This was replaced
by a portable steam engine in 1889. The building on the right would
probably have been an office and store. It is positioned to give a view
of the whole dressing floor.
