This mine was worked by the Duke of Devonshire between 1808 and 1815. It was then worked between 1820 and 1831. A horse gin still stood here in 1843 shortly before the mine finally closed.

The mine has two shafts 50m apart each shafts is protected by a small building and has the remains of a horse gin circle.
